“A wonderful location, beautiful views from here. It quite busy there, a really interesting menu, definitely something for everyone. The food was very good - presentation, portion size and quality. The service was excellent, our first visit, looking forward to returning, well worth a visit.”

“From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Just a few minutes walk to the train station to go to Aberystwyth via a steam train, or the Devil’ Bridge walk, there’s plenty to do. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future.”

“We are just back from a mini-break in Wales. Stayed at The Hafod Hotel on Saturday evening and very much enjoyed it. Sam on reception was very friendly, explained all the hotel facilities and helped with booking dinner and breakfast. Our Room was large (although floor is uneven, but it did not matter for us), clean, well appointed. I liked good quality bed linen and towels, very nice range of complimentary toiletries. I was pleasantly surprised to see pillows and duvet with natural fillings, rather than widely used non-feather bedding. My only comment about the room - lighting is plentiful, but not really good if you try to put make up on. Dinner and breakfast were both good-sized and reasonably priced. Service staff was friendly and attentive. Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the surrounding area and the views are just amazing. My only negative comment is - inadequate noise from the kitchen. I understand that a work environment can be fun, but inappropriate shouting, jeering and banging can really bring any place down.”

“A friend and I decided to adventure from North to South Wales, exploring the rugged, unspoiled Welsh Countryside, dams and waterfalls. We booked a twin room at The Hafod as it seemed a great location on route. WHAT A FIND!! Genuinely one of the very best hotel experiences I have enjoyed! The level of detail that this independent owner has gone to, to ensure comfort is incredible. The team are warm, friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous too! I truly recommend diverting from where ever you are to come and visit Tha Hafod Hotel at Devils Bridge. The surrounding area is of course fabulous too!”

“We stopped here for a Sunday roast after a walk around devils bridge and wasn’t disappointed. The roast was amazing, the staff were attentive and friendly. Best food we’ve had on our visit in Wales. Reasonable prices too!”
